My family went to Bacnotan yesterday and my cousins are so happy to see our Santol tree because there was plenty of ripe fruit already and they get a long stick just to get those fruits. We got 2 sacks of it and when we got home, we share some of our friends and relatives. They like it so much because it doesn't taste sour, but it is really sweet.
These fresh fruits in the picture are called Santol, a tropical fruit in the Philippines and mostly grown in Southeast Asia. If you open it there are 3 to five white juicy smooth pulp inside and it tastes sweet. If it is not ripe, people like it to add a little bit of salt or vinegar to taste because it is sour.
