My former college batch mate or simply a good friend as well arrived from Belgium last week and invited me for lunch in their house. Before that, she keeps on asking what kind of foods we like. I told her just prepare any kind of Filipino dishes, after all, I'm sure her taste bud is craving for Filipino foods. Some of our old friends arrived with their kids and share each others own family stories. My friend and her very helpful mother, prepared the famous "Ilocano pinakbet", shrimps and oyster, "sinigang na bangus", and Estofado. Then, she also prepared "suman" and cake for our snacks. I also thank her for the chocolate gift..how thoughtful...and I am glad to visit their hospitable home again.
